Refrigerated truck drivers must not only be aware of traffic laws, roads,
or signs. They also have an added responsibility, and that is to ensure
the good condition of the products that they transport. The cold chain is
one of the backbones of the food industry.
To prevent the merchandise from deteriorating, it is important that
conservation protocols are respected and observed. This depends, of
course, on the characteristics of each product since there is a
difference of temperature for each one. In addition, it is important to
remember that refrigerated vehicles that do not have multi-temperature
equipment cannot simultaneously transport foods with different
temperature specifications.
The trucks must have a satisfactory refrigeration or freezing system
that regulates different degrees of temperature in each compartment,
so that effective transport of these different types of products does not
imply any potential risk. In this sense, if all drivers abide by the
regulations, perishable foods will be preserved and there will be
nothing that leads to deterioration or worse, a danger to the consumer.
