The GP JOULE company was founded in 2009 in Reussenkoge in the Federal State Schleswig-
Holstein (Germany), as a project that considered the supply of 100% renewable energy feasible. It
has grown to become a system provider offering integrated solutions from sun, wind, and
biomass, as well as a partner for electricity, heat, hydrogen, and electromobility supply.
A deal is currently being negotiated between GP JOULE and Clean Logistics for the delivery of
5,000 hydrogen-powered trucks, the company announced in a statement. This is a turning point in
freight transport, as GP JOULE will buy 5,000 40-ton hydrogen-powered trucks from Clean Logistics
over the next five years.
As of now, it is the world's largest contract for hydrogen electric heavy-duty trucks. The contract
has reached the single-digit billion euro range. In addition to heavy vehicles, GP JOULE will also
market green hydrogen infrastructure to retailers and logistics companies.
